Platform Design

4/29/19

This project exhibits my first experience with the program SketchUp, which I used to model, construct, and populate a platform design. The primary learning objective for this project was to visualize a design catering to a specific space and produce a photorealistic render of that design detailing how it may be used in context.

This was accomplished my first modeling the design in Sketchup and rendering it with materials then by adding various site elements including the people, umbrella and bench.

The next step was to integrate the platform into its desired location. Within Photoshop, I used a variety of tools to better match the design to a photo of the empty site. This primarily consisted of adjusting the lighting and shadows. This final image is the first within the above photoset where other angles and pre-rendered views can be found as well.

The layout below further explains the process and choices made.
